We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist, who will contribute to the development of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI-driven solutions that help organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions.
In this role, you will work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects and business stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights, predictive models and AI-powered solutions with measurable business value.
This role is ideal for an early-career data professional who wants to build strong foundations in Data Science, Machine Learning and Applied AI through while contributing to practical analytics, automation and AI initiatives across real client and internal initiatives.
The Role
- Data Analysis & Insights: Support the analysis of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns and actionable business insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Data Preparation & Feature Engineering: Assist in data collection, cleansing, transformation and feature engineering activities to ensure high-quality datasets for analytics and AI initiatives.
- Machine Learning & Predictive Modeling: Support the development, training, evaluation and optimization of machine learning and statistical models for predictive analytics, forecasting, classification and recommendation use cases.
- AI & Advanced Analytics Solutions: Participate in the design and implementation of AI/ML solutions, automation initiatives and advanced analytics projects aligned with business objectives, including exposure to Generative AI and AI-driven automation concepts.
- Collaboration & Learning: Work with cross-functional teams to improve analytical processes, model performance and data-driven capabilities while continuously developing technical and business skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- Good understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms and lifecycle process (training, evaluation and deployment).
- Hands-on experience with Python and commonly used data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn.
- Exposure to Generative AI / LLM concepts such as prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or fine-tuning.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches and communicate insights in a clear, practical and business-oriented way.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Eagerness for continuous learning and professional development in Data Science and AI technologies.
