We are looking for a Data Engineer with 2-4 years of experience, ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines in Azure.
This role offers an opportunity to work with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric) and gain exposure to modern data architectures.
The Role
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Work with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Databricks & Fabric)
- SQL development on databases such as Azure SQL, or similar databases
- Optimize performance of data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data integration solutions
- Work with cutting-edge data virtualization technologies to streamline data integration and access.
- Utilize Git for version control and collaboration
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, or a related discipline
- 2-4 years of experience in data management and data integration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be comfortable working with deadline schedules to meet changing needs to ensure timely, accurate project completion
- Leadership ability, interpersonal skills, communication skills and customer focus
- Strong SQL skills & experience with Azure SQL, Synapse, or similar RDBMS
- Hands-on experience in Python or Scala for data processing
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks)
- Experience using Git for versioning & collaboration
Not Required, but Great to Have
- Certifications in Databricks / Fabric
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
- Exposure to Talend, Alteryx, or SAP-related data integration
- Experience with data virtualization tools and techniques
- Experience with Power BI / Qlik scripting & data modeling
